The unit was led by U. S. Army 1st Lieutenant Lloyd Peddicord as commanding officer, and Navy Ensign John Bell as executive officer. Navy chief petty officers and sailors came from the boat pool at ATB, Solomons, Maryland and Army Raider personnel came from the 3rd and 9th Infantry Divisions. They trained at Little Creek until embarking for the North Africa campaign the following November. Operation TORCH was launched in November 1942 off the Atlantic coast of French Morocco in North Africa.

Despite the fact that coloring does offer a slew of mental benefits, it's not the same as therapy. Working through coloring pages definitely has therapeutic potential to reduce anxiety, create focus or bring about more mindfulness, according to the industry researchers. Before the road trip take the kids to the stores so they can pick out their road trip coloring books and other activities. This is an even better choice because the kids will settle beforehand which type of activity is most interesting and the best for them. Tell them that you'll hold onto the items until the road trip and they'll spend the time until the trip in anticipation of playing with their new toys. They'll be that much more likely to stay involved with their coloring books and crayons on the trip rather than on each other, so you'll be that much more relaxed while on the drive. Of course it takes a little bit of creativity to get the coloring page activity to be fun. For example if there is a festival just round the corner then get your kid all the coloring pages related to the festival. That way he or she can lean about all the festivals. Make sure to make this fun and interesting by inviting other friends of his age group to your home and have a nice contest among them. Better still tell them to create images of the festival activities and let them exchanges those drawing sheets with each other for coloring.
